Expanded universe
It's not just a song. It's a world.
Most artists write a one-line video description. Philip writes the whole film. A few of our favourite moments from the Philip Miller Cinematic Universe:
-
Got Too Far To Go
“Shortly after, a four sided Triangle became known as a Pyramid.”
An origin story for Ancient Egypt itself: canals, scaffolding, a 3.16 value of Pi, Ramesses the Great and, eventually, the Ring of Light Doorway. Most songs are about a feeling. This one is about a civilisation.
-
Taking Advantage
“Select Car: FERRARI F430 Sports Car. Choose Track: HONITON. GO!!!”
“Outrun: Real World Drive” takes the arcade classic onto actual Devon roads, past Dunkeswell's WWII American airbase. Official lap time: 4hrs 23min 53sec. Endurance racing at its finest.
-
Hot Ticket
“You're LIVE on Glast-On-Bury FM, Please do not Swear!”
A festival-goer phones in to the radio: passing Stonehenge on the solstice, a Ghost-Dude stole the Hot Ticket. The credits thank the Stonehenge Ghosts themselves. Now that's commitment to a concept.
-
Shadows Desire
“Global Excuse Database for Analysis and Prediction of Live Events, working. We Play You Pay.”
A full cyber-thriller: a rogue corporation, the City Processing Centre, gamer loss at 66.6%, and the Internet Defence Force striking back. Based on real events!
-
What Ya Got
“Sponsor a Flamingo with YOUR Local Zoo!”
“Zoofari”: after days of storms, Philip heads into Paignton Zoo with a map and a zoom camera to check on the zebra, giraffe and gorilla. The video comes with safety advice too: please DO NOT TRY this AT HOME.
-
Getting On Edge
“That's the Last Time I'm having you Fly this Thing, Fred!”
Three lines, a full story: festival tickets, the artist line-up, great beer and a pilot called Fred who will not be flying this thing again. We think about Fred a lot.

About Philip
“Original album tracks from the classic style of indie pop electronic music, for the online generation and for all.”
Philip Miller is a UK artist who has been broadcasting music to the world on YouTube since 2016. Seven albums and a steady run of monthly singles later, there's still nobody else doing it quite like this.
The sound is classic indie pop electronic, straight from the synth. The videos take you up in gyrocopters out of Exeter, through Paignton Zoo after a storm, round a Ferrari track day and back to the age of the Pharaohs. The stories are written with total conviction, and the credits thank everyone from supercar instructors to the Stonehenge Ghosts.
Some artists make songs. Philip Miller makes a universe, and this site is here to make sure more people find it.
This is an unofficial fan site. It isn't run by Philip Miller and Philip isn't involved with it. For the official home of the music, visit the Philip Miller Official Site channel on YouTube.
